Appearance, size and characteristics of the objective allows unparalleled versatility of installation especially in environments where space available is inversely proportional to the size of the screen that you want to achieve. As indicated in the technical characteristics the ratio of target shooting is between 1,34:1 and 2,67:1. Recall that the ratio of shooting is the mathematical relationship that exists between the bottom of the image and the distance between the lens and the image itself. In this case, the PT-AE3000 is capable of projecting an image from 2 meters of base (90 ") at a distance of between 2.7 meters and 5.3 meters in practice, you can choose whether to place the projector front, maybe on a table, or behind, maybe on top of a shelf or on a bracket on the ceiling. the goal in tele position (so with the projector away from the screen) you can lose up to 40% of the lumen relative to the position wide.

The PT-AE3000 projector by itself as a highly versatile. Versatility included also in the configuration menu that preserves the basic approach that earned the success of the models 1000 and 2000 in recent years. In particular i appreciate the wide degree of adjustment provided by the advanced menu of the image settings that allows you to tweak the white balance for each Rgb Component of both high and low lights and store different color profiles all Internal menu color management by being able to operate regularly on certain portions of the projected image .Memorable even in the latter model is the presence of the waveform monitor that analyzes and displays waveforms of the individual components of the RGB and luminance allowing you to view instrumental corrections that are made. The scan mode signal is significantly increased compared to previous models and was also introduced in the mode Auto Adjust but in practice has not proved very helpful in the calibration.

In addition to the excellent versatility for the calibration of gamma and white balance, also highlighting the possibility to calibrate the colors through a CMS (color management system) a little 'special and already used in other projectors PT-AE series. Rather than selecting a color (primary or secondary) from the menu, you select an image, through a cursor. In this sense it is very useful to a screen with color bars. The CMS allows you to speak up to 8 colors. Modulation of the controls is quite extensive although it is not always guaranteed an adequate response to those colors distant from the point of intervention.

Absolute novelty of the PT-AE3000 are the ability to store two different positions on the optic wire (which acts at the optical zoom and focus) to pass quickly and particularly optically by 16 / 9 format than 2.35:1 ( for those who have a screen with this aspect ratio) and 100Hz call Frame Creation and which can operate in two modes more or less invasive. I must say that the system developed by Japanese technicians, is very effective and can actually reduce any micro clicks without ever appearing too invasive and especially keeping almost intact the effect of depth film. Also, under Options you can set the Frame Response between normal and fast, thus reducing the lack of Motion Blur that can appear especially during gaming sessions.

The most interesting mode for home theater viewing ( colore1, colore2, Movie1, Movie2, cinema3) are characterized by the employment of a color filter inside the projector, as already happened for the other models series. The filter (very similar to FL-Day) dramatically reduces the light flux that remains in this mode, still below the 300 lumens, even with the wide lens position. With the shift from objective widescreen mode to the more remote, the luminous flux is reduced by about 40%.

The improvement over the older generation is also sensitive with regard to the contrast ratio that is between about 2.500:1 and about 9.500:1, depending on the intervention of the various modes . compared with its predecessor the native contrast ratio. Why does my 2nd monitor show as an extension of my desktop... and not just show my desktop?

I have a Dell Latitude D600 Laptop. When I attempt to connect to the office projector via VGA, the projector shows an extension of my desktop, as if my desktop on my laptop extended to the right.

you need to change the settings on your video card control. If you have an nVidia card (or not, as long as it has a program to help configure settings) then check you Control Panel for the program that should be labeled nVidia. When you get there go to the "set up multiple displays" section or tab, then instead of choosing "extend my desktop", choose "Mirror", or "clone"

Okay, here's one more thing you can try, your laptop comes with the ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 AGP 4x , so search your computer (Search) for any of those keywords, try 'ATI', or 'Radeon', and if you can find a program, try to navigate to the "set up mult. displays" section. And select 'clone' onto projector. Also, if your laptop came with a "Set Up a Projector" program, or if your projector comes with a drive, then you can just follow the instructions they give you there. Also, when you connect to the projector, you may recieve a pop-up informing you of teh connection, with a choice to adjust the projector settings.

Improve Your Results With Active Listening

Listening is one of the most common and important things that we do. Recent research on work behaviour suggests that we spend approximately 9% of our time writing, 16% of our time reading, 30% of our time talking and 45% of our time listening.

Listening is a fundamental part of the communication process. Regardless of the type of job you do or the industry in which you work, it is important to understand the listening process, have an awareness of barriers to listening effectively, and learn how to listen actively.

Listening as a process

Hearing and listening are not the same thing. In fact, hearing is just the first of three stages in the listening process, all of which are fairly obvious but still worth remembering.

- Hearing Simply the process of sound waves being transformed by our brains into impulses.

- Attention Important so that we can hear what is being said to us, but often difficult due to distractions such as noise intrusion or internal distractions such as thinking about something else rather than what is being said.

- Understanding This is the most crucial aspect of the process on a number of levels. As well as understanding what is being said, we need to try to understand the context of the message, and understand the significance of any verbal or non-verbal clues from the speaker. Having a degree of background knowledge regarding the speaker or the subject is also helpful.

Barriers to listening

In most situations there are a number of obstacles which can stop us from listening effectively, and as a trainer it is important to appreciate what these obstacles are and how to overcome each of them. Broadly speaking, there are four types of barriers to listening -

- Psychological barriers, including prejudice, apathy or fear on the part of the listener. For example, someone working in marketing or production may not be as interested in a presentation on annual financial results as an accountant or sales director, given that it may not directly impact on their day to day activities.

- Physical barriers, including disability, fatigue or poor health on the part of the listener. For example, trying to listen to a speaker for long periods while you are suffering from a heavy cold is a fairly difficult thing to do.

- Environmental barriers, including distracting noises, uncomfortable or poorly positioned seating, or an unsuitable climate such as an overheated, stuffy meeting room.

- Expectation barriers, such as anticipating a mundane or boring presentation, expecting to receive bad news, or being spoken to in confusing jargon.

In a work or educational situation, you can certainly address tangible barriers such as environmental factors or physical obstacles. Dealing with internal barriers can be more difficult, but a lot of this can be achieved by thorough preparation before any meetings or group sessions.

Active listening

In order to understand the concept and value of active listening, it is worth considering it as one of three different types of listening.

- Competitive listening You will see this most often in negotiation situations, or when politicians are debating with each other. The person being spoken to is more interested in getting their own point of view across when the other person stops speaking, rather than acknowledging what they have just heard. Alternatively, they are distracted by thinking about their own argument or point of view rather than listening properly.

- Passive or attentive listening This is always a danger in lecture style presentation sessions. An audience will pay attention to the slides and listen carefully to the speaker, but there is no real opportunity to interact. This means that the speaker may not know how well their message is being understood.

- Active listening This is the best way to listen for and understand the real message in what people are saying. It involves taking the next step from just listening attentively, by looking to show obvious interest in what the speaker is saying, and by trying to interact with them. As a manager, salesperson or trainer you need to try to use active listening yourself, and provide opportunities for colleagues, customers and learners to use active listening techniques as well. This is of particular importance when involved in informal training activities such as coaching and mentoring.

In terms of outlining the techniques which can be used for active listening, it is useful to think back to the three basic stages of the listening process - hearing, attention and understanding.

Hearing and attention

- First and hopefully obviously, stop talking.

- Try to eliminate as many distractions as possible, both external and internal.

- Try to control your own non-verbal signals to the person speaking. This could mean paying attention to your physical stance, your body movements, eye contact with the speaker, and encouraging motions such as nodding or smiling.

Understanding

- Make sure that you understand the purpose of the speaker, and also be aware of you want from the conversation.

- It also helps to take notes, but try to focus on writing down key words and phrases that will jog your memory later, rather than trying to write down everything that is being said in an act of dictation.

- If possible, try to ask questions. You can use the notes you have written to remind you of points that need clarification. Try not to interrupt though!

- Finally, try to use the technique of reflecting what the speaker says to you.

Reflecting

This is a technique used extensively by people involved in consultative selling, but it is also a very useful tool for anyone involved in business, education, training or voluntary work. Communication can be broken down into three levels - facts, thoughts (or beliefs) and feelings (or emotions). Reflecting works on all three levels.

- Repeat the facts that you think you have been given by the speaker. This is sometimes referred to as ‘parroting'. If you are right, you know that you are getting the basic elements of what the speaker is telling you. If you have made any mistakes, this gives you both an opportunity to get back on to the same page.

- Also share the thoughts or beliefs that you have heard, and try to convey the underlying feelings or emotions which you believe are involved. For example, the speaker may be very upset and wants you to display empathy or sympathy with their situation. It is this reflection of thoughts and feelings which distinguishes reflecting from just parroting back to the speaker, which might get a bit tedious and annoying for all concerned.

Again, this is a very useful tool when coaching or mentoring. It can also be used during feedback sessions in a more formal situation such as a performance review meeting.

97 Blazer, Service Engine Light Problem?

The Service Engine light on my 97 Blazer with the 4-6L V-6 comes on and goes off repeatedly, mostly on. It has been on the computer both with the light on and with it off. There are no codes shown, either active or in history at either time. All the sensor readings were checked and were within the proper ranges. I know the owner's manual says that changing brands of gas can make it come on, so I have tried staying with one for several weeks at a time with no change.

sounds like the ecu is performing self test on the egr o2 sensor systems. does every 15seconds or so. if the egr passages are getting clogged, the ecu commands a light for self test. the next test passes and is not sent to history. the computer uses the egr to test the 02 sensor. it has to happen quickly to pickup changes in available oxygen in order to trim fuel. have a cheap fuel injection service performed. dont use the bottle stuff on the shelves. not strong enough.

All About DIY Suspended Ceilings

A DIY suspended ceiling or Do It Yourself Suspended Ceiling is usually used as a derived ceiling used to cover up electrical, ductworks, cabling, into a part usually called the plenum. The plenum usually is a T – Shaped metal channel grid, which is suspended from the structure above using light weight wires. The channels form a regularly repeating pattern of 600 x 600 mm grid. Each Such repeating grid is filled with panels and acoustic tiles, which grid fit into the channels. I've just drawn up my new training program. is it too much? I've been training for abou 2 yrs now. after 3 days the routine starts over.

Hard Drive repair and installation

One of the primary responsibilities of PC technician is to manage hard disks; it entails installing disks into the computer system and configuring the system to recognize the newly added disks. You will discover the skills that you need for installing, configuring the system to recognize the newly added disks. We introduce you to a new world of terminology related to Hard Disk installation and configuration, along with other types of storage like CD-ROM and DVD. We also make sure that you understand the difference between IDE, SCSI and Serial Ata (SATA) hard drives. Before discussing the installation and configuration of IDE and SATA drives, it is important to cover some basic terminology surrounding hard drives.

Platters: A platter is a physical object inside the hard drive that is responsible for storing the data. A platter is similar to a record on an old record player, the main difference being that a hard disk has many platters, while a record player holds only one record at a time.

Tracks: Just as there are grooves, or tracks, on a music record, there are also tracks on each platter. These trackes are evenly spaced across the platter’s surface.

Sectores: The platter is divided into pie-shaped slices, called sectors, Now the confusing thing about sectors is that where a track intersects with a sector creates sectorblocks, also known as sectores! Each sector is 512 bytes in size.

Installing IDE – Sata Hard drive:
We will give you an idea how to install an IDE or Sata Hard Drive. Because all hard drives are different. We present only the most popular solutions for installing hard drives.
First, you want to open up the casing of the computer and find an empty bay to mount the new hard disk into. if you are removing the old hard drive, you will be able to use the same bay. However, if you are adding a hard drive, you have to find an empty bay and mount the drive in place. Second, you slide the drive in the bay so that the Power Connector and Ribbon Cable connector are facing the motherboard. After you have mounted the drive in place, as a third step, connect the Ide Connector on the motherboard to the IDE connector on the hard disk with a 40-wire Ide Ribbon cable and then connect a power connector to the drive. The question is: How do you know which pin is pin 1? Hopefully, the manufacturer has indicated Pin 1 by placing a small (1) near it. if you look at the connector on the hard drive and on the motherboard, you may see a small (1) on one end of the connector. That’s where you need to place a (40) by Pin 40 instead of displaying where Pin 1 is, so watch for that as well. After you have connected the Ide Ribbon Cable, you want to give the hard Disk Power from the Power Supply so that you can run the motor in the drive.

Hard drive crashed or failed: The hard drive could fail at any time even if it a brand new one. Sometimes, the computer freezes or crashes at least one time a day. This crash could be the first sign that the hard drive will be failed soon. In this case, the first thing to do is “data back up“. the second sign, when Windows takes long time to load more than usual. The third sign, when you get the blue screen of death with error code shows on the screen. The blue screen of death is related to hard drive failure, memory, Video Card, motherboard or software problem.

I got an SCSI Host Adapter with 68 pin and 50 pin connectors.How can I connect an 80 Pin Scsi hard Disk Drive?

I've tried to connect the hard disk drives with adapters. I put a 68 pin to 80 Pin Adapter, from the cable to the hard disk. My computer detects and works fine with the Controller Card. However, the computer doesn't detect the Hard Disk Drive. Why isn't my computer detecting the Scsi Hard disk drives. Does any body know about SCSI Hard Drives? Thanks a lot.

Is the hard-drive marked as "self terminating"? If not, does it have two SCSI ports? If so, you may need to get a "Scsi Terminator", which is a plug that goes into one of the ports.

SCSI devices connect serially to each other, so that you can chain them together if needed. If you do not terminate the chain, even if there is only one device, then the SCSI port on your computer won't be able to access the devices. Some SCSI devices are known as "self terminating" as they are able to terminate the chain themselves without the need for an external terminator plug.

Also, check that the SCSI ID of the hard-drive is unique for that chain. As SCSI is a serial connection it needs each device to have a unique ID so that any signals along the SCSI path arrive at the correct device. No two devices on a SCSI chain can have the same ID. Your computer's own SCSI port has a SCSI ID which is usually '7' (SCSI ID = 7) but you will have to check that just in case. If there is only the hard-drive connected to your computer, you can just try changing the ID on the hard-drive, reconecting it and trying again.

Next, you may need to poll the SCSI devices. This is where your computer sends a "Are you there?" signal to all devices on the SCSI port and waits to see which of them reply. Without knowing what your computer is and what software you're using it'd be impossible to give advice on how to do that.

My rule-of-thumb: don't buy anything that costs more than $2 at Radio Shack. Get cables and advice at Circuit City or Best Buy -- you'll spend a little more, but the people generally know their stuff.

Do you have the manuals for your PC and receiver? (If you don't, you may be able to find them online.) Once you know where to plug stuff in, you'll know what kind of connections it will take to do it.
