Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 is an incorporated server suite, developed and marketed by Microsoft Corporation. It is designed for running the network infrastructure of medium and small business enterprises having around 75 users or workstations. I managed to get the old drive out and put the new Sata Drive in, with a converter (IDE to SATA) it tried to booth up and asked for the Windows Vista disc, I did this and it tried once again to booth up, after excepting the terms and conditions, I clicked next and it tried find the driver for the Windows vista from the Windows Vista CD. It could not find it.

Your problem is the drive is unformatted and Windows does not have the required SATA controller to access the unformatted part of that drive. On the CD that comes with the Motherboard should be a software package to make a SATA disk, this is often found in the utilities folder (or extras or something similar) it may also be in the SATA drivers folder as well. You need to create this floppy disc, in the 1st few seconds of the Windows install you will see the option to load SATA drivers (press F6) a minute or so later it will ask to insert the FD, simply follow the instructions, load the SATA Controller Driver from the FD (may be more than one for Vista) then Windows will continue to install. Vista is normally pretty good at preloading SATA controllers so you may find that your Driver disc may not have Vista drivers for the SATA, go to the mainboard manufacturers website and download them. You can try loading the XP ones as they often work.

Since 2 days ago a mysterious message is shown by starting my computer. The very first black DOS screen appears, right after testing the physical memory and 4automatic hardware recognition etc showing BIOS version etc.etc. there is a communicate below saying "No second Ide Cable present or no 80 Pin Connector found". What does that mean? My computer runs ok, windows starts up, all CDroms working fine. I have an extra hdd that is slave on IDE connector and it's only few months old. My primary HDD is Sata connected via RIAD PCI bridge. I never had this message before. Does a cable replacement help, and what it means exactly? Thanks.
If you are still seeing the second drive it means nothing, there are 2 ide connectors, the machine is seeing the second as unconnected. It may be you have changed a bios setting so it is testing the ide bus each time it starts and displaying it in the post diagnostics.

When you start C++Builder, you are immediately placed within the integrated development environment, also called the IDE. This environment provides all the tools you need to design, develop, test, debug, and deploy applications. C++Builder’s development environment includes a visual form designer, Object Inspector, Component palette, Project Manager, source code editor, debugger, and installation tool. You can move freely from the visual representation of an object (in the form designer), to the Object Inspector to edit the initial runtime state of the object, to the source code editor to edit the execution logic of the object. Changing code-related properties, such as the name of an event handler, in the Object Inspector automatically changes the corresponding source code. In addition, changes to the source code, such as renaming an event handler method in a form class declaration, is immediately reflected in the Object Inspector.
